Horningsham Fayre 2018

Last Sunday I held a stall at Horningsham Fayre for the first time and I hope to attend again next year! The event turned out to be my most successful event to date yet.

The lead up was exciting, busy and exhausting as it was expected to be my busiest day with an expected footfall of 1500 people, not only that but it was the first event where I launched my pottery painting. I spent the two weeks before literally painting my house and myself in plaster of paris, making sure I had enough molds completed for the day, much to my households annoyance!

It has to be one of the better-organized events that I have attended. I had a prime spot in the kid’s tent, where there were free toys for the children to access as well as a few select paid stalls such as mine. I was based with a face painter (who was also very busy by the looks of it), an Usborne rep for books and the drop off/judging point for the kids vegetable garden competition. There was a steady flow of people in and out of the tent alongside a few mad rushes.

Having attended the Horningsham Fayre as a visitor it was great to be on the other side, see behind the scenes and make some money doing it! Here’s to hopefully many more successful days.

I wasn’t the only one who enjoyed the day as my boys and husband attended as you can see below on their little train ride 🙂
